Tado has launched a new heating product range. Tado X — Supports Matter smart home protocols.that join nest It is one of the few (only?) European smart heating control systems that support new standards designed to improve interoperability between devices in the smart home ecosystem, and is natively on a Thread mesh network. This is the first system to be run.
The Tado X system is designed to replace traditional thermostats to control boiler, underfloor heating and radiator valves. This includes Thermostat X, Smart Radiator Thermostat X, Wireless Temperature Sensor X, and Heat Pump Optimizer The optional new Bridge X acts as a threaded border router (for homes that don’t yet have a router) to connect Tado X devices to his Wi-Fi/Ethernet network at home. Both the X thermostat and the new temperature sensor work with Amazon Alexa, Google Home, and Apple Home voice assistants.
The Heat Pump Optimizer The new radiator thermostat also features a new compact T-shaped design. , an improved display, and a USB-C rechargeable battery.
Unfortunately, Tado locks many of its advanced energy management features, as well as some basic ones, behind a subscription, and that applies to Tado X as well. However, the company is offering free Auto-Assist automation for 12 months starting today’s launch.
