One Greater Sudbury resident was killed and two others were sent to hospital after a crash involving five vehicles late Saturday afternoon near Port Dover, Ont.
The crash, which happened near the intersection of Blue Line Road and Highway 6, involved three motorcycles, a pickup truck and an SUV, the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) said on Sunday.
Police responded to the scene of the crash around 4:55 p.m. on Sept. 14 – Norfolk County fire and Emergency medical services also participated in the support.
Police said a 33-year-old Sudbury man riding one of the motorcycles involved in the crash died at the scene.
The motorcyclist sustained serious injuries and was taken to a trauma center.
The other motorcyclist also suffered minor injuries and was taken to a local hospital.
The other four people in the car were not injured.
Police have not released names, ages or other identifying details of those involved in the crash.

Highway 6 remained closed for nine hours between Pheasant Trail/Blue Lake Avenue and Port Lyers Road until about 2 a.m. Sunday as police investigated.
OPP said the accident remains under investigation.

Port Dover is a small community of about 8,000 people located south of Hamilton on the shores of Lake Erie, and regularly hosts a motorcycle rally on Friday the 13th.
