Stocks started out mixed on Friday, with the tech sector falling after Intel (INTC)’s disappointing first-quarter outlook. However, looking back to the October 27th low, the Russell 2000 Index (^RUT) and Nasdaq Index (^IXIC) continue to outperform the S&P 500 Index (^GSPC).

Jared Breichle: As Maddie was talking about, engineers are taking a backseat. You can see that it is the only sector that is in the red by about 7/10%. Healthcare has been very strong this year, increasing by seven-tenths of a percent. So it’s a mirror of that. Materials, consumer goods, utilities, consumer staples, and industrial products also round out the top tier here.
I would like to show you something from the October 27th low of last year. Currently, he is in third place in the financial sector. That number one is still technical. 24 and 1/2 goes up. Next is communication services, Meta, Alphabet, Netflix, and finance. Then acquire the property. All four of them have been surpassed. I would also like to share with you some other interesting things that happened. That’s Russell 2000. This ranks second among our indexes behind the Nasdaq 100. It has outperformed the S&P 500 since its October 27 low. So there are things to consider when considering early action.
And let’s look at the Nasdaq 100. Here we have a mega-cap stock that hasn’t made any noticeable moves either up or down.
Amazon led the way with a 1% gain. NVIDIA fell his 8/10%. I’ll just show you the chipboard for now, as Intel’s earnings weigh heavily on this entire sector. KLA also fell by about 5%. However, the Taiwanese cicada has risen about 6/10 of 1%. And I had to check other technical areas as well. This is a mess.
So low-quality balance sheets are doing well, Tesla isn’t in that category, but it’s up 1.5% after yesterday’s big drop. And this is China. A great start to the week. And here’s how they end day five. There is much more green than red. So if these stimulus measures are effective, they may help a little.
