In response to questions from AsiaOne on Thursday (4 April), a Ministry of Defense (Mindef) spokesperson said: “The Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) is aware of the incident and the Singapore Armed Forces has informed the police.” said.
“He is not a regular military member and is not from the SAF Military Police Command. At the time of the incident, he was not on active National Guard duty.”
As the investigation is ongoing, the ministry cannot comment further.
Police have confirmed that a report has been received and an investigation is underway.

A continuous honking was heard and a motorcyclist wearing what appeared to be an SAF uniform pulled up next to the car.
He was seen flipping the driver over, cutting in front of the car and getting off the bike.
The driver can then be heard asking the motorcyclist why he had given the finger, and the motorcyclist accused him of “wanting to cause an accident.”
A man on a motorbike could also be heard yelling, “Do you know who I am?” And he claimed that he was a military police officer and could seize the driver’s car.
The driver countered that he had instructed the motorcyclist to signal before changing lanes and to call police if there was a real problem.
The motorcyclist then yelled, “Go and call me,” and got back on his bike and drove away.
The SAF posted a statement on its Facebook page on Tuesday confirming the incident, saying: Hold military personnel to high standards of conduct And do not tolerate such unruly behavior.
It further added that impersonating SAF personnel is a serious crime and perpetrators will be liable for prosecution.
