A new business, run by my friends Gisele and Max Sampson, recently opened in my apartment. It’s called Dynamic Home Delivery, and it’s a grocery shopping and delivery service that’s been a godsend for people like me and others with limited mobility.
Gisele handles most of the shopping and Max handles most of the deliveries. We don’t have a website yet, but you can contact us by phone at 204-361-6740 or email at euro-star4@hotmail.com.
I asked them a few questions about how and why they started DHD.
So why did you guys decide to go into entrepreneurship?
We decided to start our own business because we liked being in control of our own decisions and actions. We wanted to be able to provide a personal service to our customers. The hours you can call to place your order are very flexible and we are open seven days a week.
We started our home delivery business to meet the personal shopping needs of people with limited mobility. We offer our clients a lot of flexibility as to which venues they wish to shop at. We shop for customers at Co-op, Sobeys, M&M Food Market, MLCC, pick up prescriptions, and many other specialty stores. If you would like to order online yourself but need delivery, we also accept in-store orders. We will deliver it to your home.
Do you have any previous experience in this field?
We serve San Vital and the surrounding areas. We both have extensive experience in this field, even before going independent. We pride ourselves on having a wealth of product and business knowledge. We shop as if it were our own and guarantee that we only pick the freshest and greatest products. If you are interested in comparing to save money, we will suggest alternatives.
Will Gisele do the shopping and Max do the deliveries, or will they share these tasks?
Giselle takes all orders by phone or email and does the majority of the shopping. Max helps with some of the shopping and does all the deliveries.
Who is your boss? Or will all decisions be made unilaterally?
We are equal partners, work very well together as a team and are always open to suggestions from each other and our clients. All of our clients are treated like our friends and will be treated as such. We promise you won’t regret your shopping experience with us.
