I never expected to see the words “Jennifer Lopez” and “Coquette” in the same sentence. But here we are! In 2024, anything is possible. Lopez’s usual style is more sophisticated and chic than bows and ruffles, but she let it be her showcasing her whimsical side at Paris Fashion Week and TBH, she embraced the ribbon trend like no other. I think I was able to incorporate it well.
Lopez attended the Elie Saab Haute Couture show on January 24th with a new short, flippy bob cut, but she didn’t style it as wet as she did at the Schiaparelli show. She styled it a total of 180 times for each show and instead added soft waves near the front of her face. But it was happening on the other side of her head and I couldn’t really look away. So What was surprising to Lopez was the big green ribbon.
Lopez has experimented with a variety of hairstyles on red carpets and events, but is best known for her signature slicked buns and glam-girl waves. The bow is completely different from what we usually see from the stars, and that’s what makes it so magical. Lopez’s hair was largely parted to one side, with a forest green velvet ribbon placed precisely on the top of her head. Her long ribbon extended to the ends of her hair and almost blended into her purple and green textured coat and matching green dress. What a dream!
