As previously reported on the /Film page, there were actually plans for a “Spider-Man 4” several years ago. In Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man 4, the daughter of Spider-Man villain Vulture was set to take over the Daily Bugle newspaper, where Peter Parker works as a freelance photographer. The Vulture would eventually appear in the Marvel Studios film Spider-Man: Homecoming, played by Michael Keaton. The character will also appear in Sony’s Spider-Man spin-off Morbius. As for the rumors about the new “Spider-Man 4,” it got so widespread that some enterprising fans set it up. IMDb page As for this movie, it’s implied that it’s in pre-production, or at least announced. Thankfully, when a reporter from Comic Book Resources asked Raimi a point-blank question about “Spider-Man 4,” the director bluntly said he didn’t need a new Spider-Man.
“Well, I haven’t heard about it yet. I’ve read about it, but I haven’t really worked on it yet. I mean, Marvel and Columbia have been very successful with their current Spider-Man and their trucks, and I I don’t know that they’re going to come back to me and say, “Well, guys, we can talk about that too!”I’m not sure but I love everything new spiderman movie. I loved Spider-Man: No Way Home. It was really, really powerful to see Toby perform again. ”
Raimi appears to have moved on, with his Spider-Man movies ahead of his two new ones. Judging by his words and demeanor, there doesn’t seem to be any pressing need to return to the superhero realm.
