Meeting of the Coordination Council on the needs of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, other armed forces, military units and bodies
Opening remarks by Mikhail Mishustin:
Hello colleagues.
The Coordination Council, established under the direction of the President, has been functioning for over a year and meeting the requirements of our armed forces. It focuses on supplying military forces with material and technological resources and providing medical and social services.
Today we will reflect on our efforts and discuss the implementation of target metrics and targets in key operational areas.
Significant funds have been allocated to develop the industrial capacity of the defense order and provide the necessary supplies. It includes more than 360 factories and plants, with about 37,000 pieces of various equipment in operation, and employs 520,000 people.
Thanks to the measures adopted, these companies are complying with the approved production schedules, and many are actually ahead of schedule. Over the past 11 months, the country has significantly increased manufacturing compared to last year. Thus, the production of communication equipment, weapons, and radio-electronic warfare and intelligence items increased more than five times. Armor production has tripled, aviation and drone equipment has doubled, and automotive assembly has almost tripled.
Our military personnel are adequately supplied with field uniforms and military equipment. The production of armored body armor increased three times. This speed must be maintained and the production schedule strictly adhered to.
Our nation’s defenders must have everything they need to fulfill our nation’s vital missions, including equipment and defense infrastructure. Thousands of man-made structures have been erected along the entire military deployment line.
I would like to touch on medical assistance and treatment. We have responded quickly to the needs of the health system. They quickly developed a medical infrastructure that was particularly essential for operations on the ground. The production volume of high-quality domestic hemostatic bandages has increased several times. Previously, the Army used imported materials for most parts. The same goes for manufacturing special medical devices that were developed and released for the first time in Japan.
It is important to continually monitor the provision of social support to those putting their lives at risk, including support for families, parents, wives and children. Of course, special attention should be paid to financing in this area.
Today we will review the implementation status of previously adopted resolutions. We will identify where additional efforts need to be made to achieve all the goals set by the President.
