After Mi Primer BitcoinTo commemorate the third anniversary of the El Salvador-based organization Announced The company promoted two staff members. Reina Chicas and Quentin Ehrenmann — Take on leadership positions.
Chicas is originally from El Salvador and has been with the organization for almost two years. She has risen through the ranks quickly, from teacher to lead teacher to board member and now to Director of Education. She has been shining bright since the beginning of her time with Mi Primer Bitcoin (MPB), when she was deployed to Lake Bitcoin in Guatemala for six months to teach in the community. For the past year, she has been Mi Primer Bitcoin’s liaison in communicating with the Ministry of Education of El Salvador.
“As a Salvadoran who began this journey as a teacher, I have experienced firsthand the power of education to promote growth and change,” Chicas said in the MPB release.
“With this new opportunity as Director of Education, my determination is stronger than ever to create more stories of empowerment with MPB, set a positive example for others at home and abroad, and show that with passion, hard work and dedication, we can build a better future,” she added.
Ehrenmann has been a rising star since joining MPB in 2023 and was recently promoted to General Manager of the organization. His first project with MPB took him to a developing island off the east coast of El Salvador to launch a circular economy focused on education. He then moved to the mountainous area of Berlin, El Salvador, where he taught within the community. He was then promoted to Director of Operations, helping further develop MPB. “My journey with Mi Primer Bitcoin has been extremely rewarding, from working on a special project on an island off the coast of El Salvador to joining the leadership team and helping to carry out our mission,” Quentin said in the MPB announcement. “I look forward to bringing independent Bitcoin education to the next 100,000 students.”
