BAGHDAD (IraqiNews.com) – Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammad Shia al-Sudani chaired the second Supreme Armaments Committee on Monday.
According to a statement released by the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO), the meeting focused on strategies to strengthen the capabilities of Iraqi military branches in terms of their ability to supply weapons and military equipment.
Within the framework of promoting the government’s strategy aimed at strengthening and developing the capabilities of the Iraqi military and security forces in general, this conference will highlight the most important measures taken to support the combat and field capabilities of the Iraqi armed forces. Measures were also taken up.
The Iraqi Prime Minister emphasized the importance of diversifying weapons sources and improving the technical efficiency of various forces.
Mr. Al-Sudani emphasized the value of military training and development, as well as providing the Iraqi military with the best materials and equipment, to enable it to deal with all types of security challenges and threats.
