Brigadier General Bahman Behmar, Deputy Director of Operations of Iran’s Armed Forces General Staff, and Saudi Arabia’s Chief of Staff Fayyad bin Hamed Al-Wayli met on the sidelines of the World Defense Show 2024 in Riyadh on Monday.
During the meeting, Behmard emphasized Iran’s defense and military capabilities and expressed the country’s readiness to develop relations with Saudi Arabia.
He invited Mr. Ruwaili to visit Tehran and conveyed a message from the Iranian defense minister to the Saudi side.
Mr. Ruwaili expressed his gratitude to the Iranian delegation that attended the exhibition and stressed the need for expanded Tehran-Riyadh cooperation in the military and defense fields.
