tehran: Iranian military officials have stated that the country is ready to strengthen Syria’s defense sector.
According to Xinhua News Agency, Defense Minister Mohammad Reza Ashtiani and Iran’s Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces Mohammad Baqeri held separate talks with visiting Syrian Chief of Staff Abdel Karim Mahmoud Ibrahim in Tehran on Wednesday.
Mr. Ashtiani expressed Iran’s readiness to utilize its capabilities and capabilities to rebuild and develop the infrastructure of Syria’s defense industry.
He said bilateral relations are at a good level as a result of the strategic and fraternal alliance between the two countries.
Syrian military officials emphasized the need to improve bilateral relations in all areas, especially in the military and defense field.
In a separate meeting, Mr. Baqeri discussed with Syrian officials the rebuilding of the Syrian army after the war, and shared experiences between the two countries and issues regarding the provision of training at various levels.
Baqeri noted that military cooperation between Iran and Syria will continue.
The Syrian official said that Syria and Iran have been friends for 40 years and have cooperated in line with national interests, and assured that bilateral cooperation will continue in the future.
