An elderly woman had her handbag stolen while shopping at Marks & Spencer.
The victim, who is in her 80s, was at the supermarket in Station Road, New Milton, when she went to pay at the till and noticed her handbag was missing.
When she arrived at the store around 3pm on Monday, January 22nd, she had placed her bag in the cart.
Inside the handbag was a mobile phone, £20 in cash, bank cards, driving license, glasses, ID cards and membership cards.
The bag is navy in color, made from grain-effect leather, has a navy inner lining, and has three zippers, one at the top and two on each side.
Police released an image of a woman who appeared to be willing to cooperate with the investigation.
A Hampshire Police spokesperson said: “We believe the woman pictured will be able to assist us with our investigations and would encourage anyone who knows her identity or who she is to contact us.” Ta.
“If you come across a discarded bag or its contents similar to the above, please also contact us.
“We are also appealing to anyone who has any information regarding this incident, who saw anything suspicious in the area at the time, or who has surveillance, cell phone, dash or doorbell footage that could assist the investigation. Please feel free to contact us.
