Canadian Defense Minister Bill Blair announced the donation of 10 new multi-purpose boats from Zodiac Hurricane Technologies, valued at approximately CAD 20 million.
These multi-engine rigid inflatable boats (RHIBs) will support Ukraine in a variety of maritime operations, including search and rescue, troop and cargo transport, surveillance and reconnaissance, the Canadian Department of Defense reported.
“Each boat will be equipped with advanced sensors, navigation and communication systems. This donation includes commercial contract training for Ukrainian operators, provision of trailers and spare parts.
