The British Army football team celebrated winning the 2023 Kentish Cup with a visit to the Ministry of Defense and Royal Chelsea Hospital.
The team also had a photo opportunity outside 10 Downing Street.
The invitation to the main building of the Ministry of Defense was extended by the Chief of the Defense Staff, Sir Tony Radakin, who wanted to reward the players’ success.
The day started with a tour around the Royal Chelsea Hospital and a chance for Chelsea pensioners Bert and Malcolm to have their picture taken with the Kentish Cup trophy.
From there, the team took photos outside No. 10 Downing Street before visiting the main building.
“He’s in a very high position, isn’t he?” said UKAF player Jake Gosling when asked about Admiral Tony Radakin’s role as CDS.
“It’s nice to be able to joke around, but unfortunately he supports Bristol City and I was playing for Bristol Rovers.
“He seemed really sweet and we are very proud to be here.”
Some of the team’s younger members will now focus on service competition with the under-23 Interservices, and every moment of the tournament will be streamed live on the Force News YouTube channel.
