The latest company to offer MagSafe compatible battery packs is myCharge with their MagLock lineup. The MagLock lineup includes three different options depending on capacity and price. The 3,000mAh option is $50 and the 6,000mAh option is $60.
MagLock features a unique raised design where the puck connects to your phone. myCharge says that the gap between the phone and the battery pack keeps both devices cooler than competing products, resulting in higher efficiency and faster charging speeds. When you connect the pack to your phone, you will hear a short tone letting you know the pack is in use. When you remove the puck from your iPhone, you’ll hear a different sound.
There’s also a power button, but I didn’t need to use it. Simply attach the pack to your phone to charge, then remove it. MagLock charges via a USB-C connection and acts as a wireless charging pad when you place your phone on top of the pack while it’s plugged in.
