This year’s Korean Music Awards ceremony is scheduled to be held on February 29th at 8:00 pm (KST) and will mark the 21st edition of the annual event. The fest is known for celebrating mainstream music artists as well as underground artists from a variety of genres. Unlike the usual judging criteria for other Korean awards, KMA does not focus on sales numbers. This illustrious event relies on a solid panel of music critics, producers, and other industry experts to select the winners.
On January 26th, the full nomination list was published on the show’s official website. The roster of award categories includes the usual impressive list of titles honoring musicians, songs, albums, and new talent, as well as highlighting contributions that have traditionally been sidelined in the hip-hop, R&B, and soul genres. is assigned.
BTS’s Jungkook has received four major nominations on the nomination list. Girls from his group NewJeans, Korean rapper Beenzino, and his rock band Silica Gel are also one of the few other artists on the same list who have achieved great recognition.
